Valve maintenance

In the professional maintenance work of valve technology before and after the completion and operation of electric welding and welding, service items for valves play a particularly important role in the production, manufacturing and operation. Proper and orderly and reasonable maintenance will maintain the valves, make the valves work normally, give full play to their functions, and increase the service life of valves. Valve maintenance seems easy, but it is not. There is often a level of contempt at work.

 

First, when the valve is greased, the problem of the amount of grease is often ignored. After the grease gun is fed with oil, the operator selects the valve and the connection method of grease injection, and then carries out the grease injection work. There are two kinds of conditions: on the one hand, the amount of grease injection is small, the grease injection is not enough, and the sealing surface is accelerated to damage due to the lack of lubricating fluid. On the other hand, too much fat injection leads to consumption. It depends on the fact that there is no accurate calculation for different valve sealing volume according to the valve type. It can calculate the sealing volume according to the valve specification and type, and then effectively introduce the appropriate grease.

 

Second, the pressure problem is often ignored when the valve is greased. During the operation of fat injection, the pressure of fat injection changed regularly from peak to peak. If the pressure is too low, the seal is leaking or invalid, if the pressure is too high, the grease injection port is blocked, the lipid in the seal is hard bottomed, or the seal ring is locked with the valve ball and perforated plate wheel. Generally, when the grease injection pressure is too low, the introduced grease is mostly injected into the bottom of the valve chamber, which is generally produced in small and medium-sized stop valves. On the one hand, check the grease nozzle, if the grease hole is blocked, judge the condition and carry out the replacement; On the other hand, it is necessary to apply cleaning fluid, soften ineffective sealing grease and introduce new lubricating grease for replacement. In addition, the sealing type, specification and sealing material also endanger the grease injection pressure. Different sealing methods have different grease injection pressure. Generally, the grease injection pressure of hard seal is higher than that of soft seal.

 

Third, when greasing the valve, pay attention to the problem of the valve in the power switch position. Gate valve maintenance is generally in the open position, special circumstances choose to close maintenance. Other valves should not be judged as open. The shut-off valve must be closed during maintenance to ensure that the lubricating grease fills the sealing groove along the sealing ring. In the open position, the sealing grease will immediately fall into the flow channel or valve cavity, resulting in consumption.

 

In general, valve maintenance is a scientific research, its effect is invisible. Only when we truly treat the valve with the attitude of scientific research can we achieve the actual effect and the purpose of application in the valve maintenance work.
